Miss Josephine's story, is not only touching, it's very unique. She is the only child known to have a dual diagnoses of Congenital Myotonic Muscular Dystrophy, and CDKL5. Josephine's art submissions features both of those conditions.
"Miles," the lion in her design is the unofficial mascot of Congenital Myotonic Muscular Dystrophy. He used to travel to the kids who's parents were in the Facebook group for the condition. They began to make a lion for each one of the kids who's parents requested one.
The starfish represents the IFCR, the organization that provides information and resources for those with CDKL5.
The lime green ribbon coincidently happens to represent BOTH of Josephine's conditions. Because of this we chose to go with a lime green trim to tie it all together. (A special THANK YOU to Kenzy Kreations for graciously donating her time and talent to turn these adorable drawings into the perfect pattern)
